ISLANDS TRUST ANNOUNCES 2008 COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIP AWARDS

Congratulations to Maureen Moore who received an award for her amazing work coordinating the campaign to save Salt Spring Island’s Creekside Rainforest.

“These awards recognize individuals and groups for significant contributions towards preserving the community, culture or environment of an island,” said Kim Benson, Islands Trust Council Chair. “The award program is designed to promote the mandate of the Islands Trust by celebrating the dedicated people who have donated countless hours to enhancing the quality of life in the Trust Area.”
